Historic Wickford, Narragansett Bay Canoe Tours

Historic Wickford, Narragansett Bay Canoe Tours – North Kingstown, Rhode Island – Originally the Narragansett called this place Cocumscussoc. The land was gifted to Roger Williams not long after his arrival and the first trading post on Narragansett Bay was established soon after that. Explore the many islands and coves and travel the way our ancestors used to. Experience the view of Smith’s Castle from the water and be transported back in time to the seventeenth century. Imagine yourself paddling up to the ancient great house to trade your wampum, skins, venison, fish, etc. Space for two other people or one other person and some gear in the canoe. Personal flotation devices and lunch can be provided. If you have a larger group, canoes and kayaks can be rented from a local outfitter.
