What is a CSA?
CSA stands for community supported agriculture. A CSA directly connects people to the farm or garden their food comes from. By paying an upfront subscription fee, members share the risks and rewards of farming. In exchange they receive a weekly box of fresh, nutrient rich produce and the opportunity to connect with like minded people.
Our spring CSA will begin May 4th, 2021 and run for eight weeks through June 29th after which we will transition to our summer CSA program. The cost is $200 upfront per crop share (box) or $30 / week. We encourage folks to split up shares among families and friends if desired. The boxes can be picked up at the garden in Coventry or delivered, depending on the situation.
This spring we hope to offer a variety of fruits, vegetables and herbs including but not limited to: shiitake mushrooms, Asian greens, leeks, broccoli, swiss chard, green beans, beets, lettuce, kale, radishes, turnips, sorrel, mesclun mix, spinach, pea and sunflower shoots etc. as well as other edible flowers and herbs.
